One of our oldest research partners is Senior Lecturer Dr. Raymond Chiong of The University of Newcastle in Callaghan, NSW, Australia. We collaborate with Dr. Chiong since 2009 and jointly conduct research on the benchmarking of optimization algorithms, on logistics, and on optimization in general. Maybe the most prominent examples of our collaboration are the jointly edited book Variants of Evolutionary Algorithms for Real-World Applications (ISBN: 978-3-642-23423-1, Springer, 2012, doi:10.1007/978-3-642-23424-8) and the TSP Suite, a framework for implementing and comparing algorithms for the Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP), which we also used to analyze a wide variety of different algorithms. Our research work has led to several publications in both conferences and journals, co-organized events, and joint funded research projects. Dr. Chiong has visited us in China in 2014 and 2015.
